All maps submitted for review are hosted on the server "prose only"

Heyo -

So lately there are a lot of maps being created but not a lot of testing being done. While I have been occasionally gathering friends to get onto my server to test the maps - that isn't exactly the best way as people are on at random times.

Therefore, I propose that we make a team of people who will try and commit to testing maps a few times a week. This is not a competitive team or anything - there will be no scrimming and no matches. Anyone who wants to come help review with us is more than welcome. Please note, however, that if you haven't been around for awhile you probably should consider becoming more experienced before trying to review maps. This isn't to say that your opinion is worthless - just that there are a lot of nuances you have to consider when reviewing a map that only come with practice.

Below you will find a list of all the maps that are currently in the review queue, all the maps that we've reviewed, and the list of players who make up the core part of the review team. While everyone is welcome to join and help review - I'm not going to be adding everyone to the list of players below. This means - don't throw a fit if you're name isn't there.

Players:
  1. Mikesol
  2. Hurri
  3. UFO
  4. Redshift
  5. Tyr
  6. Woken
  7. Goose
  8. Aya
  9. Donk
  10. Genesis
  11. SSD
  12. Jayfourke
  13. Vesu

Upcoming Review Times:
Unsure. Working on a time.

Is your map not listed below? Send me a pm or shoot me an e-mail: mikesol@gmail.com (or just post here). I'll add you to the list and we'll review it when we have time. Note - I am not going to be going through the entire map forum. That's not to say I won't occasionally add maps from there without someone requesting it - just that you shouldn't be offended if your map isn't here yet.

Excellent idea.

Any chance of testing Chess further? It's just been gathering dust for over two weeks now.

could you post times when you all are online testing? I'd like to help, especially with any ball maps.

Have you decided how those sessions would be conducted ? Like separate ball and TBD sessions or a mix-up, as I'd be interested in extensive ball maps testing, but would surely fall asleep in TBD.

I'm sure we can do separate ball and TBD sessions - considering that a lot of the tbd'ers have no idea what makes a good ball map and vice versa. I'll let you know when the ball test will be held so that you don't show up for random tbd stuff.

Thanks. Concerning maps themselves, I think ball_ufo and ball_gymnasium would be worth testing in addition to Nikon's. Could keep an eye on ball_stadium too, but maybe wait for the invisiwalls to be be fixed.

Thanks mike.

Anyway, I'd also be interested in testing out TBD maps (that aren't my own, for obvious reasons of bias), at least if you make the testing times on weekends.

PS, had some questions regarding your comments on chess, plz take a look, thanks!

Any maps that anyone wants tested - simply link to where I can download them. I'm not going to hop around to servers trying to download them from there.

Hey good idea Mike. Do you mind reviewing mine/gens map (TBD_blackhole) once you get the chance.

I'd be down for testing; I have a few maps I've downloaded that could be potentially really awesome to test, as well (they aren't mine).

It seems files uploaded to QuickFilePost are on a time limit, so to speak... guess they expire after a few days.

Here's a reupload:

I'm pretty new, but if you are low on people then I can help out. I have around 5k Randa kills, so while I am still new, I'm not a massive retard.
